BBC recently featured two interesting articles about Africans living and working Lithuania, emphasizing how closed this Baltic nation has been . . . and how it's now ready to mix things up a little. The Somali man who works as a flower shop deliverer is somewhat of a celebrity due to the rarity of his race in Lithuania--and this has sparked some
controversy over the price of his delivery service.
In the second story, Afroband is making an impression. Four African immigrants have become one of the most widely popular bands in Lithuania.
Lithuania, which has not had a history of immigration, is finding itself easier to welcome such additions to its typically white, northern culture.
