Trans-Siberian Railroad

Saturday April 1, 2006
494364_17436920.jpg Have you ever dreamed about traveling across Russia, from west to east (or east to west) on the Trans-Siberian Railroad? So have I, and it's definitely not out of the question for future travels. However, for those of you who prefer virtual travel or need some more information to decide if a cross-country train treck is for you, I suggest checking out Trans-Siberia: A Rail Journey from Vladivostok to Moscow with Seven Stops In Between. This is the travel journal of ABC correspondant Emma Griffiths and her partner Simon Johnson. This journal is full of pictures and stories from their journey. If you're planning a similar trip (or expect to use the train at all to cross the vast distances between Russian cities while abroad), Train Travel in Russia will help to acclimate you to this unique experience.
