Eastern Europe in the Fall

Wednesday August 16, 2006
Tourist season is slowing down, but there's still plenty to do in Eastern Europe during the fall. The cooler weather may make walking through cities and towns like Ljubljana, Pecs, Kazimierz Dolny, or Krasnoyarsk more comfortable. Outdoor attractions - think Rila Monastery, Izmaylovo Market, and the Hill of Crosses - are less crowded. And don't forget the Prague Autumn Music Festival, due to start in September.
