Plzen is most famous for being the home of pilsener beer - specifically Pilsner Urquell. A pleasant day trip from Prague, Plzen's beer facilities will teach you all about this Czech beer. Take a tour of the Brewery Museum, housed in a 15th century brewery, tour the actual Pilsner Urquell brewery, attend beer tastings, or grab a bite to eat in the pub or restaurant. Oh, and you may find the town of Plzen charming, too!
