Dressing for Winter Travel to Eastern Europe

Sunday October 7, 2007
If you're traveling to Eastern Europe in the winter seasons, packing proper clothing can be difficult. Not only is winter clothing heavier and bulkier than clothing for temperate seasons, making packing the necessary items a nightmare, but you never really know that what you've packed is enough. The good news is that, if you're traveling to a city, you'll more than likely be able to find whatever you're missing at one of the shops there. The bad news is that, in most of Eastern Europe during the winter months, you'll have to suffer chilly winds, below-freezing temperatures, and deep snow until you find a proper coat/scarf/pair of gloves/hat.

Following tips for winter dress for Eastern European travel is a must. As you will find, proper footwear and a suitable coat are both essential.
