Must-See Warsaw Sights

Even though much of historic Warsaw was destroyed by Nazis during WWII, the Varsovians have done a darn good job of resurrecting the former beauty of some of the most significant sights of their city. If you've never been to Warsaw before, you'll want to make sure that you scope out the Royal Route and other historic districts immediately. Otherwise, you might not understand just what draws visitors to Poland's capital city. The rebuilt Royal Castle with its period-authentic interior decor, the grand old Warsaw Barbican, renovated with bricks from the city's medieval buildings, and the Lazienki Park and Palace are some examples of Warsaw's architectural finery.
