Try These Refreshing Eastern European Summer Salads

Friday June 27, 2008
The menus of Eastern European restaurants will offer you a plethora of fresh salads to choose from this summer. Salads feature heavily as appetizers or at breakfast buffets. Dill and sour cream are popular additions to Eastern European salads, but you can also find some scrumptious leaf-lettuce salads topped with fish, meat, or nuts, as well as delicate fruit salads made with regional produce. These summer salads will have you wishing for their recipes so you can replicate the flavor experiences back home. Luckily, Barbara Rolek from Eastern European Foods has plenty of summer salad recipes available. (If you want to serve the perfect light lunch to distinguished friends, pair your salad with cold beet soup and crusty bread. Yum!)

Thank you, Kerry! Next time I go to Eastern Europe, will you be my tour guide? You certainly know your business!
