Russian Art Museum in Minneapolis
Friday July 4, 2008
If you've got a hankering for Russian art, but can't find the means to travel to Russia anytime soon, the Russian Art Museum in Minneapolis is a museum dedicated to Russian fine art. Major exhibitions frequently feature Russian Realist and Russian Impressionist art, but the museum is currently exhibiting the color photographs of Prokudin-Gorskii, who traveled the Russian Empire during the reign of Nicholas II to capture images of the people and places that existed in the farthest reaches of the realm.
