Do's and Don'ts for Currency Exchange in Eastern Europe

If you live in the States, it may be unusual for you to carry cash. Credit cards are so convenient, and it's a sign a business is behind the times if it doesn't accept Mastercard or Visa. In Eastern Europe, this is not the case. While countries like Poland seem to have gotten on track to making credit card use the most common for ordinary commercial transactions, other countries, like Russia, still largely favor cash. In addition, in large cities, credit cards may be used easily. In rural Eastern Europe, however, even hotels or inns may not accept credit cards.
