Toilets in Russia and Eastern Europe

As Russia and Eastern Europe seek to modernize public areas for both citizens and visitors, the toilet situation continues to improve. However, you may still encounter some surprises. Squat toilets, pay toilets, toilets without any paper provided . . . if you travel to Eastern Europe, you'll likely encounter at least one of these. Always carry some tissue with you.
