Turkish Airlines

Saturday December 13, 2008
Because Turkey neighbors Southeastern Europe, if you're traveling to a country in the region and have the time and budget to do so, consider working Turkey into your plans. After all, the ancient Slavs were so impressed by what they saw in Constantinople (now Istanbul), they converted to Orthodoxy. Travel to Turkey won't require any conversion on your part, but if you take this recommendation to fly Turkish Airlines, you may feel impressed.

It's becoming more and more frequent to feel like a head in a herd of cattle when traveling with any airlines. You're packed into tiny seats, served food you only eat because you're famished, asked to pony up for extra services that used to be standard, and treated like you're subhuman from flight attendants who also have to deal with changing airline policies and features.

While flying economy class on Turkish Airlines won't permit you any more legroom, you'll find the comfort levels bumped up a notch. There is an inherently hospitable quality to the airlines, with thoughtful touches making even long flights more bearable.
