Moscow's museums put Russian culture front and center. These museums are dedicated to Russian history, art, music, and literature, as well as other Russian cultural institutions. Moscow's museums celebrate aspects of Russian culture, full to the brim with masterpieces of Russian artwork and information about and artifacts from the lives of important Russian historical figures. Museums like the Tretyakov Gallery bring visitors face-to-face with famous paintings that they might have otherwise seen only in books. The Vodka Museum educates about the history and making of this alcoholic beverage. The Cosmonaut Museum offers interactive exhibits about space exploration. The State Armoury Museum has royal treasures on display. No matter what your interests or your level of familiarity with all things Russian, Moscow's museums will give you something to talk about with your travel companions or loved ones back home.
