When you travel to Croatia, be sure to sample maraschino, a cherry-flavored liqueur that originates from Zadar. This sweet, clear drink can be served over ice and frequently comes in straw-wrapped bottles, but plain glass bottles of maraschino can also be found. Maraschino liqueur makes a great souvenir of your travels to share with friends when you return home.
