Uzupis is a district of Old Town Vilnius that has actually declared itself an independent country. With its own constitution, military, and day of celebration (April Fool's Day), Uzupis stands for creativity and uniqueness. Its shabbily beautiful courtyards and architecture have long attracted artists, but now Uzupis welcomes tourists as well.
