A visit to any one of Vilnius' museums will improve your understanding of Lithuania's history and culture, but it can also be a way to spend a couple of enjoyable hours learning new facts about a wide variety of topics or viewing the craftsmanship of centuries past. Both the Museum of Energy and Technology and the free-to-enter Money Museum have interactive exhibits perfect for kids. The museums located in the Old Arsenal and New Arsenal delve deeply into the development of Lithuanian society and statehood. And the Museum of Applied Arts is hosting an exhibit, which runs until the latter half of 2013, of early 20th-century women's fashion from the USA and Europe, including ball gowns, dinner dresses, and formal opera clothing.
