Where is Albania Located?:
Albania is located in Southeastern Europe, and is bordered by the Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Serbia, and Montenegro. It's west coast is bordered by the Adriatic Sea. Visitors will fly into Tirana, the capital city of Albania.

Albania has both a sunny coast and mountains perfect for skiing - so your recreational plans may dictate your destination in Albania. The capital city, Tirana, is also an popular destination, even if you choose to move on from there.
Albania Travel - Albania Weather:
Albania's warm weather runs from May to September, and these months (especially July and August) see the largest surge in tourism. Winters in Albania are typically mild.
Albania Travel - Albania's Tourist Industry:
Like other countries in the region, Albania's tourist industry is growing. Both coastal and ski resorts mean that visitors to Albania can enjoy the best of both worlds. In addition, Albania's historical locals and remains of ancient civilizations creates a draw for history buffs, photographers, would-be archeologists, or the simply curious.
Albania's UNESCO World Heritage Sites:
Albania is home to the museum-city of Gjirokastra, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage Site List. Visitors to Gjirokastra will see a 13th century fortress, a type of Turkish dwelling called a kule, mosques, and Turkish baths.
