Belgrade is the Capital City of Serbia:
Belgrade has a history that spans seven millenia. Various cultures have inhabited or influence the development of Belgrade. Formerly the capital of Yugoslavia, Belgrade now serves as the capital of the independent nation of Serbia.
Belgrade's Long History:
Belgrade's long and tumultuous history means that there is much to offer the visiting history buff. Its museums contain ethnographic artifacts from Southeastern Europe, military aircraft, art pieces, and even examples of African Art. The Museum of the City of Belgrade traces the city's lengthy history through its exhibitions.

Archeological sites around Belgrade have revealed artifacts from the Vinca civilization, the Romans, and prehistoric cultures.

Getting To and Around Belgrade:
Belgrade's international airport is the Nikola Tesla airport. If you're already in the region, you can also reach Belgrade by train, bus, or even by boat via the Danube River.

Within the city limits, trams, trolleybuses, and buses follow regular routes. Taxis are also available for intercity transportation.
