Serbia and Montenegro? Aren't They Separate Countries?:
Serbia and Montenegro were, for a short while, one country called "Serbia and Montenegro." In 2006, the two countries separated. Now they are Serbia, with the capital city Belgrade, and Montenegro, with the capital city Podgorica. Kosovo, part of Serbia, has made moves to separate as well, but the final result is not yet certain.

Serbia and Montenegro are located in Southeastern Europe. Montenegro is bordered by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Adriatic Sea. Serbia is bordered by Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Serbia, as a landlocked country, has a continental climate, but may experience milder weather to the south. Montenegro, with its coast on the Adriatic Sea, experiences a Mediterranean climate.
Serbia and Montenegro Travel - Serbia and Montenegro Ethnicities:
Serbia and Montenegro have ethnically varied populations. Serbs, Albanians, and Montenegrins are represented most widely, but people who associate with major ethnic groups in the surrounding region also live in Serbia and Montenegro.
