Dubrovnik is one of the most popular destinations in Croatia and a Southeastern European hot spot. It isn't difficult to see why. This historic city, with its love of freedom and pride in its ability to hurdle challenges, can hook any traveler with its combination of strength and beauty. Massive fortifications, which offer unparalleled views, have protected the city for centuries. Within the walls are elegant churches, monasteries with peaceful cloisters, Gothic palaces, and shady, winding streets.
