Rovinj is on the Istrian Peninsula in the northwestern part of Croatia. Rovinj itself is located on a smaller, oval-shaped peninsula that juts out into the Adriatic Sea. A fishing port and tourist attraction, Rovinj is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in Istria.
The parish church of St. Euphemia dominates views of the city, from where the structure, with its tall bell tower, have been built at the top of a hill.
