The Art Nouveau movement of the early 20th century left its impact upon the Czech Republic. Prague exhibits many fine examples of Art Nouveau architecture that can be viewed today. Alfons Mucha, a Czech national, was responsible for influencing Art Nouveau on an international scale, but he also lended his talent to his homeland. St. Vitus Cathedral on Prague's Castle Hill features stained glass windows designed by Mucha in his particular style.
