Tyn (pronounced like teen)Church, or the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, is an imposing structure that looms over the Old Town Square and the Jan Hus monument. An example of Gothic architecture at its best, Tyn Church was the site of two other churches before it; the present church is almost 600 years old.

Inside the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, you can visit the tomb of Tycho Brahe, the famous astronomer and mathmetician who is probably most famous for his disagreement with the idea of the heliocentric galaxy system that was so controversial during his time.
