While the Lomonosov porcelain you bring back from your travels in Russia may look pretty on a shelf, it is meant to be used and enjoyed. Unfortunately, frequent use can cause tea stains to build up on cups and the insides of teapots; hard water stains can also cling to other Lomonosov porcelain dishes.

So how do you safely clean your Lomonosov porcelain while keeping it in good condition? Soapy water may be good for everyday cleaning, but certainly avoid harsh abrasives for stains. A simple solution of white or apple cider vinegar and water will remove any stains and return your Lomonosov porcelain to like-new condition.

Simply fill your teapot and cups with the solution, and soak lids, saucers, or plates in a bowl of the solution. Wait several hours or overnight, then wipe the tableware with a soft cloth. Rinse each piece with water to remove any traces of vinegar and then dry with a dish towel.

Your Lomonosov porcelain should now be free of stains and look just as beautiful as it did when you first purchased it.
