Polish food and seafood are on the menu at Barylka.

While other reviewers of this restaurant have complained about "cold" waitstaff, it is the opinion of this reviewer that Barylka offers service no different from other Polish restaurants. Polish food isn't necessarily served quickly or with a smile. But the food will fill you up and you'll be mostly left alone to chat, eat, and drink.

Local seafood dishes are the specialty at this restaurant. If you are at all squeamish about seafood, better choose a different restaurant. However, if you like seafood in all its glory, you'll probably love the whole fish dishes and shellfish that leaves nothing to the imagination.

Portions are generous at Barylka, and the food is a bit on the heavy side. However, if you choose carefully from the menu, you can enjoy a meal here with little problem.

Like the food, the decor of Barylka appears a little on the heavy side. On a rainy day, the restaurant interior can be downright dreary, even with candles lit at each table.

On the other hand, separate dining rooms lend an intimate atmosphere. Be warned - when your waiter leaves you may feel like you've been abandoned. They will come back to check on you in 10 or 20 minutes.

Barylka Restaurant is located on Dlugie Pobrzeze near the Goldwasser Restaurant. On the main floor is a bar, but the host will most likely lead you to the second floor if you intend to stay for a meal.
