Poland's currency is called złoty (pronounced ZWAH-tee). The word is derived from the Polish word for gold. The code used for the złoty is PLN. One złoty is divided into 100 groszy, just like one US dollar is divided into 100 cents. Polish złoty coins are available in the following denominations:
  • 1 grosz
  • 2 groszy
  • 5 groszy
  • 10 groszy
  • 20 groszy
  • 50 groszy
  • 1 złoty
  • 2 złotys
  • 5 złotys
