If you want to stay in the heart of Warsaw's Old Town, want a hotel that is romantic as well as comfortable, and require a price far below what some other hotels in the same area ask for a night's stay, look no further than Castle Inn. Run by the hospitality company Oki Doki, this boutique hotel is located right across from the Royal Castle. Walk a few feet in the opposite direction, following Swietojanska Street, and you're in Old Town Square. The Barbican, New Town Square, shops, restaurants, and more sights are all in the general area.

Castle Inn Warsaw - Finding the Hotel

Because motor traffic is not permitted in Old Town Warsaw, you'll have to walk a ways in order to find Castle Inn. If you arrive by bus, get off at the Teatr Square stop. Signs or any passer-by will point you in the direction of the Royal Castle.

Once you've located Warsaw's Royal Castle (a large red brick building that overlooks Castle Square), cross the square and approach the building on Swiatojanska street facing the castle. The sign for Castle Inn is small and barely noticeable, but it's there. Ring the bell and the door will be unlocked for you from the registration desk.

Staff members at Castle Inn speak English and man the registration desk in the lobby 24 hours a day. Overall, they are very helpful. Ask for a map of the city if you aren't provided one at first; they should have complimentary copies behind the desk.

If you require internet connection, request the password for login at the front desk.

You'll be asked to leave the key to your room at the registration desk when you leave the hotel. Some room service is available. Though breakfast is not included with the room charge, the hotel does connect with a resaurant. If necessary, you can store your luggage in a locked closet in the lobby for free if you check out a few hours before your departure from Warsaw.

Castle Inn Warsaw - Rooms

The 21 rooms of Castle Inn are all decorated with individual themes. Visually appealing, uncluttered, and complete with necessities, rooms are comfortable and clean; bathrooms are modern.

Your room may overlook the street or square below. While you may be concerned about noise, foot traffic dies down in the evening. You will hear only the occasional group of people coming back from a bar or restaurant after about 10pm.

Castle Inn Warsaw - History

The Castle Inn is located in a house once owned by one of Warsaw's prestigious families. The building mostly survived WWII even though 85% of the city was destroyed by bombs.

The hotel is quite new though its setting allows visitors to get a feel for historic Warsaw. While it may not have all of the amenities of a large upscale hotel, Castle Inn Warsaw nevertheless exudes a sense of luxury.
