This photo gallery of images of the statues on Charles Bridge begins with the statues closest to Mala Strana and continues with all of the statues that appear on the north side of the bridge. If you begin your tour of the Charles Bridge statues starting at the Mala Strana side of Charles Bridge, all of these statues will appear, in order, on your left. You can see the statues on the other side of Charles Bridge in the Photos of Charles Bridge Statues South Side

Saints Cosmas and Damian were Christian martyrs and, because they dispensed free medical care to the poor, have become patron saints of doctors. The statue of Saints Cosmas and Damian on Charles Bridge was originally commissioned by Prague's medical faculty in 1709. Artist Jan Oldrich Mayor executed the design of the statue. The statue depicts Cosmas and Damian flanking Christ on either side.
