The Monument to Charles IV is a focal point of the Knight of the Cross Square, located at one end of Charles Bridge. Charles IV was King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor during the 14th century. The legacy Charles IV left to Prague can still be felt today. Not only do various points around the city bear his name, but some of the most fantastic Prague sights, like St. Vitus Cathedral, were built during his reign.
