Arts Square Winter Festival in St. Petersburg - December/January

Held at different venues around St. Peterburg's Arts Square, this month-long festival features a smorgasbord of classical music and other types of music. Held in December and January, this festival is the heart of the St. Petersburg classical music scene during the winter.

Russian Winter Festival in St. Petersburg - December/January

Much like Moscow's Winter Festival, the St. Petersburg Winter Festival features all manner of traditional festivities, like sleigh rides and sampling hearty Russian winter foods. Held around the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Mariinsky Ballet Festival in St. Petersburg - February

Mariinsky Theater is a reliable host of dance performances throughout the year, but the February Ballet Festival features some of the most popular ballet productions from Russia and the international stage.
