St. John's Cathedral in Warsaw's Old Town was originally built in the 14th century according to the tenets of Gothic architecture. The cathedral, however, was rebuilt over the centuries, the final reconstruction occurring after it was destroyed in WWII. The most recent reconstruction returned it to what is believed to be its original appearance.

St. John's Cathedral was built to serve, in part, as a tomb for medieval Polish dukes and was connected to the Royal Castle by a corridor in the 17th century. It also served as a location for the coronation of several Polish kings.

The interior of St. John's Cathedral can be viewed by visitors. The organ concerts held here during the day are also a popular attraction.
