My Favorite City in Poland Is:
Warsaw remains in my memory, long after I have returned to the United States.
This City is My Favorite Because:
I remember the scent and beauty of the roses in Lazienki Park, the growth and change from communist times along Solidarity Avenue, the monuments in the Jewish Ghetto with bouquets of flowers at their base in remembrance of their struggle and most delicious homemade food one could imagine.
But it was the Old Town that speaks of the incredible Polish people. From the rubble of Old Town from the bombing during WW II, they rebuilt their town brick by brick. I left with a new-found respect and admiration for the people of Poland. I will be returning to Poland in June to see more of the country. Poland is definitely not just for Polish People . . . . this beautiful country offers so much in historical buildings, not to mention the beautiful sea coast and incredible mountains.
